A promising young centre back, Evans has had a rather unorthodox career so far! Released by Denis Smith at the start of the 2006-7 season, he was eventually offered a contract when some extra money was found down the back of the Racecourse sofa, and before long he was in the first team. He has developed well, and might be used in a new role as a holding miidfielder, although two loan spells to gain experience were scuppered when he was sent off on both his debuts!
